The Liberty Warehouse, a waterfront wedding and event venue in Red Hook, is seeking an experienced, dependable security guard to join our team. We’re looking for someone with a professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a calm, approachable manner when working with guests, vendors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Monitor building entrances and help manage access for visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
Conduct regular checks of the property and report security or safety concerns.
Ensure entrances, exits, and access areas remain clear.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and contact management or emergency services when needed.
Maintain accurate incident reports and communicate with the venue team.
Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for everyone on the property.
Qualifications:
Previous security experience required; hospitality or event venue experience is a plus.
Current New York State security guard registration is a plus.
Punctual, reliable, and attentive to detail.
Strong judgment and the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
Comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift.
